Ep59: Magic on the Monorail

Aug 5, 2015 | Podcast episode, Podketeers

In this episode: In this episode we record really late in the evening and we're surprised we made *any* sense! We talk about Heyzen starting a sing-a-long on the Disneyland Monorail, Taylor Swift's mini movie of a music video, how an entire city gets the Foo Fighter's attention, Gambit from the X-Men is going to be a reality in 2016 and we talk a little about Mickey's Halloween Party.

°o° --------------------- °o°

You can always feel the Disneyland Magic and when a Monorail ride from Downtown Disney to Tomorrowland turns into a sing-along you can definitely feel that magic! During the Monorail ride Heyzen started singing ‘A Whole New World’ and several lines into the song (just before Jasmin’s part starts) he yells out “just the girls”. That moment is when our pal Jeff Heimbuch started broadcasting this via Periscope. By the way, it wasn’t until after the everyone got off in Tomorrowland that Heyzen knew Jeff had been broadcasting.

Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood is crazy full of cameos! Here is a list of the characters in this “mini-movie”:

Taylor Swift as Catastrophe
Selena Gomez as Arsyn
Karlie Kloss as Knockout
Kendrick Lamar as Welvin Da Great
Martha Hunt as HomeSlice
Jessica Alba as Domino
Serayah as Dilemma
Lena Dunham as Lucky Fiori
Hailee Steinfeld as The Trinity
Ellie Goulding as Destructa X
GiGi Hadid as Slay-Z
Hayley Williams as The Crimson Curse
Zendaya as Cut-Throat
Lily Aldridge as Frostbyte
Ellen Pompeo as Luna
Mariska Hargitay as Justice
Cara Delevingne as Mother Chucker
Cindy Crawford as Headmistress

What appears to be a field out in Cesena, Italy was used as a giant music venue where 1,000 musicians got together to play ‘Learn to Fly’ by the Foo Fighters.

After that performance, Dave Grohl replied! Watch his reply below:

Well done, city of Cesena!

The halloween party is a hit and a miss. This year should be a little different because they’re keeping the Paint The Night parade instead of the halloween parade. Which the halloween parade at disneyLAND is a total joke. It’s literally just characters in halloween costumes. Now the halloween parade at disneyWORLD is absolutely AMAZING!!!! The best part of the halloween party at disneyland is that a lot of the villains are out and about such as hades, frolo, and a bunch of others. Actually scratch that. The best part of the halloween party is that they fog over the rivers of america and put the CADAVER Dans (dapper dans) on one of the rafts and the raft is covered in candleabaras. And they float down the river very creepily just back and forth between the mansion and the Mark Twain launch and they only sing halloween songs!!!!! YOUTUBE IT! ITS WORTH A YOUTUBE!!!!

Yes you get A TON of candy and for those parents that want healthier alternatives for their kids there are options available. Some of the costumes are amazing! The Disney Resort Imbeciles last year were dressed as The Hitchiking Ghosts and the groundskeeper. It was AMAZING!!!

also I forgot this – if you get the halloween party ticket, you are allowed entrance to the park 3 hrs before the start of the party. So the $69 ticket is essentially a twilight ticket. But you get more hours than you would with a twilight ticket if I’m not mistaken. Anyway I’m done now. Keep up the great work fellas!!!!
