Ep113: Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls…

Aug 17, 2016 | Podcast episode, Podketeers

In this episode: In this episode we talk about the end of Cipher Hunt and Mario's adventure to get Journal #3 and meet Alex Hirsch. A new line of Toy Story themed shoes by Vans is possibly coming soon. A new Parking Structure and transportation gateway is coming. Plus we talk about Paint the Night leaving AND the Main Street Electrical parade coming back home to Disneyland.

Here is the message from Grunkle Stan that we talk about in the episode. The message was actually updated after an incident in Rhode Island in which the clue was removed by the venue prior to anyone locating it. The message is a little hard to hear but here is what he says:

A man whose first name is his last. A statue honoring his past. Right behind him by the sign of his park. A golden head shows light in the dark.

There was a group that went into the woods after solving the final cipher and used periscope to broadcast the hunt. The video itself was about 46 minutes but it will start just before the actually find the buried treasure and the Bill Cipher statue.

The Google Maps image that we talked about for clue #5 is below. The park where the USB flash drive was found when looked at from above resembles the Eye of Providence.

In what was definitely a surprise announcement, this last week the Disney Parks Blog announced that on October 9, 2016 the ‘Main Street Electrical Parade’ (aka ‘Disney’s Electrical Parade’) will be ending its run and will be coming back home to Disneyland for a limited time in 2017. When asked by a guest in the comments section of the Disney Parks Blog post if the ‘Paint the Night’ Parade (ending its run at Disneyland at the end of the 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration) would be heading to Walt Disney World, a rep for Disney stated that there are no plans for sending ‘Paint The Night’ to Florida. This is definitely a surprise to us because considering the money and time spent to put together the new night parade, you would think that the Disney company would want it to run longer than its 18 month span. Although ‘Paint the Night’ is scheduled to have select showings during the holiday season, no specific dates have been given. It would definitely be nice to watch ‘Paint the Night’ during warm summer evenings (when there’s a lower chance to rain).

What about you? Are you excited to see the ‘Main Street Electrical Parade’ coming back to Disneyland? Have you ever seen it in person? Are you sad that ‘Paint the Night’ is going away? Leave a comment down below!

Have you checked out Javier and Mario’s Suicide Squad review? If not, you can play it down below. Leave a comment down below if you saw the movie and let us know if you agree or disagree with their review.

Until next time! °o°

I grew up with the main st electrical parade… I also grew up with VHS, I don’t want anyone to come around and take my new bluray and replace it with an old beaten down VHS player.

Moving past the fact that Seven Dwarfs is also what immediately comes to mind for me, my very next thought regarding naming the parking structure floors spurs from a certain elevator undergoing transformation…therefore homage should be paid to magical attractions of nostalgia, i.e. Tower of Terror floor, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea floor, MuppetVision3D floor…enjoyable listen as always.

Great idea, Mike! My guess is that the ‘People Mover’ floor would be the most popular! lol!
